What is Martini Modern Italian famous for?
Martini Modern Italian is famous for inspired, fresh Italian dishes served with elegance, taking standards such as lasagna and osso buco to the next level. Sauces are complex and filled with beautiful notes of savory herbs. The pesto that accompanies the hand made-to-order Mozzarella is so bright and fresh it brings spring to a winter table. The wine list is carefully composed to pair with guest favorites including the Lamb Pappardelle with wild mushrooms, Chianti wine reduction and Parmigiano Reggiano. The Lasagna made with sausage and San Marzano tomato sauce is locally famous; the Osso Buco with marrow and saffron risotto, and a unique Salmon dish served with crab ravioli, porcini, clams, and mussels in a lobster broth show the team’s depth of creativity. The desserts are works of art, delivered in unique shapes and plating. Is there a happy hour?
Yes! Martini Modern Italian offers Happy Hour in the bar Monday through Friday, 4 – 6 pm, with specially-priced, handcrafted cocktails, select top shelf spirits and appetizers including hand made-upon-order Mozzarella with bright pesto, garlic toast and sundried tomatoes, Arancini with gorgonzola, marinara and Parmigiano Reggiano. What is the cocktail program like?
Martini Modern Italian offers sophisticated riffs on classic cocktails such as the Dark Cherry Manhattan and Empress Old Fashioned with nods to the restaurant’s Italian roots with the Italian Grapefruit Gimlet and Venetian Sunset. Martini’s Specialty Cocktails are available with special pricing during Happy Hour, Monday through Friday, 4 – 6 pm, in the bar.
Can Martini Modern Italian accommodate large parties?
Yes! Imagine a private dining room decorated with dark woods, white leather and unique lighting, paired with the energy of the Short North Arts District in downtown Columbus. Our completely private dining room is located on the upper level and may be closed off from the main dining area with double glass doors. This modern and cosmopolitan space can accommodate up to 60 guests and is available during morning and afternoon hours while the restaurant is closed and nightly during dinner service. Is there a preferred dress code?
Martini Modern Italian offers an upscale, sophisticated experience but many of our guests stop in for a great meal before and after downtown sporting events. There is no express dress code.
Does Martini Modern Italian accept reservations?
Reservations are not required but they are recommended. If OpenTable is showing no availability for your preferred day and time, we recommend calling the restaurant.
Is there patio seating?
Patio seating is not available but during seasonal weather, the windows in the bar are open to the street creating a breezy, patio-like atmosphere.
Where’s the best place to park and is there valet service?
Martini Modern Italian is located at 445 N. High Street at the corner of Vine Street in Columbus, Ohio’s Short North Arts District. On-street parking is available but be sure to read and follow street signage instruction regarding pay-by-phone parking. Hourly parking is plentiful in the Vine Street garage adjacent to the restaurant. Valet is available in front of the restaurant for $15 per vehicle.
Is there a Wine List?
Martini Modern Italian offers a well-curated, international wine list. If you’re new to Italian wines and would appreciate suggestions, your server is well-versed in the list and can provide perfect pairings to compliment your menu choices. Wines are listed from mild to strong, featuring selections across many varietals from Far Niente, Bolla, Grgrich Hills, Antinori, and Stags’ Leap in addition to a selection of sparkling wines by Veuve Cliquot and Perrier-Jouët.
Are there menu options for Gluten-free diners?
Yes! The Martini Modern Italian menu features items noted with ‘gf’ designation indicating the preparation is already gluten-free friendly or, can be made so upon request, including a number of pasta items. In addition, the chef team is well-versed in dietary adjustments and is pleased to accommodate requests. Please do not hesitate to inform your server of any food sensitivities or allergies.
